The 2009-2010 season has come to an end and the Florida Everblades AAA would like to recognize past and present players. Where they are now and who is off to continue to be student athletes at a higher level. We will also update you on our current programs, Spring season and schedule. The coaching staff, leagues we are participating in and much more.
I was once asked why or better yet when are you moving up North and coach there? Why are you in the state of Florida when you have so many connections to and coaching options up North?
Well, besides the obvious things like the weather here in Florida there have been a few things that motivate me. Most importantly helping each and every player that comes through our program succeed in accomplishing their team and individual goals So, stay with me as I guide you through three great years of success both as a program and as individual players.
Please take a moment to enjoy the past, present and future plans of our program on the next few pages.
Sincerely,
Dan Lupo
Director of Hockey

What better way to start the alumni page then with our first four year full scholarship player, Austin Cangelosi. Austin played for the Everblades U16 team 2008-09 before heading to Northfield Mount Hermon Prep where he was simply put “a stud”. Austin had an outstanding freshman season leading his team in scoring and making it to the finals of the Elite level Prep schools. Only to fall short 4-1 in the championship to Avon Old Farms.
During his freshman year many Division 1 colleges took notice of Austin. But, only one landed him…that’s right, a four year scholarship to the National Colligate Champions Boston College. Congratulations to Austin and his family! We are all cheering for Austin, and we feel this is only the beginning of greatness to come for him in his hockey career.

Congratulations to all past and present players that have or are moving on from
the Florida Everblades!! AAA program!!!

Over the past few years the Florida Everblades AAA players have fought and clawed to gain National exposure. Throughout this year and last I have been fielding calls from Agents for past players, Prep schools and junior programs for present players and invites to the top leagues and tournaments in the country for our present and future players. This year alone we had three of our four teams finish in the top 15 on www.Myhockeyrankings.com in the country 1998 4th, 1997 13th and 1995 15th. All of these teams never backed down from a challenge and the dedication of the team managers, parents and coaching staff was second to none in my eyes. Through this type of dedication we sent two teams to the Tier 1 Nationals Championships in Buffalo N.Y. Although we didn’t play our best hockey at Nationals I am so proud of all these boys which words could not express. Once again thanks to all the managers, coaches Eric Petersen- Tad O’Had- Jeff Chychrun, parents and a special thanks to our program reps Martine Lebel, James Berger, Lisa Berger, Dave Kessel & Alan Geffin. All of you should be pretty proud of yourselves.
